This entire episode is a loving tribute to Batman: The Animated Series. It's quite an honor for an eastern animation studio to pay tribute to western animation. This was also clearly one of the highest budget episodes of the series; you can see it in all the top tier animation. Dark, gothic, drab city. Old school, art deco (dark deco) style atmospheres and props. A villain clearly influenced by the Joker and the Penguin. The final showdown taking place in a deserted amusement park is exactly how Batman: TAS would handle a Joker episode. Real recognizes real.

Just fyi bt bowing while on the phone with someone who has higher status or a superior/boss is a common thing Japanese (and mostly East Asian people) do in real life 😅

I think it's smart that everyone didn't assume he was friendly. The director just proved his point. Kafka is not in control of the body anymore. If he can't gain control again ...guess what? They should kill him. Simple as that. 🤷‍♀️

The worst part is the fact that Shady Sands was founded by Vault 15. It was a Vault Tec community and the NCR was a result of Vault Tec’s planning and it was successful. This makes Hank not only a horrible person but a hypocrite as well. Also Vault Tec did not drop the bombs but that’s only something you would know from the games. Vault Tec was prepared to drop them if peace talks succeeded but that never happened. China dropped them first followed by the U.S. and Vault Tec. In the games we see Vault Tec was caught off guard completely. China sent nuclear subs and you can find one in the games. The captain is a ghoul and he tells the main character that China dropped the bombs first and his target was Boston. Seeing that last shot of New Vegas is so cool. It’s a major location in one of the games. It was the only city not hit by the bombs during the war. And it’s run by Mr House CEO of Robco who you may have noticed at that table during the meeting.

Here's some interesting background for WHY this episode was so strange. Season 1 aired late at night. That's why it had more nudity and some of the massacres stretched what could be shown. The show got popular and there was a long gap between season 1 and season 2. When Code Geass was scheduled to return, it was going to be at primetime. That means a bigger audience and a younger audience. Some things would be toned down too. Notice that they panned away when all the soldiers k!lled themselves? So the studio asked the writer to basically REINTRODUCE the characters and concepts of the show. The studio figured most of the people watching during the primetime slot would not have seen season 1. Amnesia forcrs you to explain things. Also, the Code Geass toy line came out between season 1 and season 2. This will influence the season. You'll see more and more "special" mechs like Guren and Lancelot because special powerful knightmares sell better than generic footsoldier ones.

Bee just casually mentioning two other Sins that are still to appear on Helluba Boss: Satan, the ruler of the Wrath Ring (not to be confused with Lucifer), and also seen as a deity by the Imps, since their race is native to Wrath; then we have Belphegor, the ruler of the Sloth Ring and the one that produces "happy pills", the antidepressives that Stolas normally takes to deal with his depression.

The sound effects of the cutting scene was on point. because if they went by how it was by the book, we wouldn't be able to handle it! it was brutal and horrific in the book version. that is why the directors made sure the sound effects was strong. it made us viewers visualize what we hear in the cutting and slashing of the head.

what hit me was that shot of Daemond's eyes when Cheese asked him, "What if we can't find him?" Daemond gave him, "that look" and paused. that shot of his eyes was an important indicator that said, "you know what to do if you can't find him" thus, killing the baby Jaharheys.

There's a new Code Geass. I don't know if I should watch it😂😭
